POLICIES

ALL SCHOOL POLICIES ARE REVIEWED WHEN APPROPRIATE.

In addition to the policies posted below, further documentation is available on request from the school office, including details as to the number of formal complaints registered under Parents' Complaints Policy during the previous academic year. The Board of Governors and Staff at Kenton College are totally committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people at the school. The Kenton College Board of Governors are ultimately responsible for the provision stated in all policies.

SAFEGUARDING and CHILD PROTECTION

This policy applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working at Kenton College Preparatory School. We take the responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children in our care seriously. “The welfare of the child is paramount” (Children Act 1989).

ANTI-BULLYING POLICY

Kenton is a small, caring multicultural school. As a school, we seek the well being of all students. We encourage their good behaviour towards others, as well as their need to be aware of the consequences of their actions, whether negative or positive. At Kenton College, we encourage an atmosphere of support and mutual trust, in which everybody plays a part. The achievements of all children are acknowledged and we believe that every child can excel and reach their maximum potential within a caring and loving environment.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Kenton College has long prided itself on the quality of teaching and pastoral care provided to its pupils. However, if parents do have a complaint, it will be dealt with by the school in accordance with this procedure. Stage I: Informal Resolution: It is hoped that most complaints and concerns will be resolved quickly and informally.
