Years 6 and 7 have been very busy culturally after the Trinity exams. Both groups are scheduled to visit the Alliance Francaise on consecutive days. They will be shown round the Centre, watch a French film and enjoy some croissants and pains au chocolat in the cafe. |

The Modern languages Department has been involved in Cross Curricular Activities after the Trinity Exams. Years 6 and 7 German groups have been investigating the Expressionist Movement. They have liaised with the Art, Music and ICT Departments to research into the lives of prominent Expressionist painters. They have listened to relevant music, created Expressionist paintings in their art lessons and posters using their iCT skills. Year 7 French and Spanish groups have been doing the same whilst investigating the Impressionist Movement. They too have created paintings by famous artists and done in depth research in the IT rooms, as well as listening to, and playing Impressionist music in their music lessons. Year 6 French have been finding out more about Paris and have created posters using their ICT skills. |

The Modern Languages Department are having a cultural feast after the Lent Exams with their yearly Poetry Competition. All French, German and Spanish classes are currently learning and illustrating poems. Watch out for our displays! Winners of each category will recite their poems in Assembly on Monday 1st March for French, and Monday 8th March for Spanish and German classes. Ask your children to recite their poems to you! |
