Bonfire night on November 1st was a resounding success despite a tropical downpour half way through the evening! Spirits, however, were not dampened and everyone much enjoyed themselves – dressing up as fairy tale characters and crowding round the lucky dip which contained a couple of tantalising mobile phones and many other fantastic goodies!!
The stalls were all a great success, the barbeque food delicious and
the decoration much praised and appreciated! The rain stopped in time
for the children to enjoy rides on the Number 39 Rhino Charge Car and
the fireworks lit up the sky as a grand finale!
We are proud to announce that we raised a record-breaking Ksh 266,579 profit. We are now able to allocate some of the funds raised to Kigulu Shelter in Kibera, while keeping a healthy balance for other PA projects planned for next year.
A huge thanks to the PA team and to all the other parents and staff who supported the event with their many logistical or artistic inputs! Many thanks too, to all of you who donated gate, raffle, lucky dip and bottle tombola prizes. The event would not have been the success it was, without your support!
The long line of stalls - before the rush of children later in the day!

One of the stalls - cleverly depicting the hare and the tortoise fable - for the slowest bike race.
The bottle tombola is always a hot favourite.
Have you ever pinned a nose on Pinocchio?
